[VIETNAM] English Second Language Teacher hiring – Apollo English

Job description

• Plan communicative, student-centered and participative lessons while following a designated syllabus
• Participate in professional development activities. These include training sessions, peer observations and developmental observations (led by senior academic team members)
• Teach across our range of levels, ages, and courses. While having IELTS and secondary classes, the majority of students at Apollo English are Young Learners and Very Young Learners levels (age 4-11)
• Administer and mark course tests, write student reports, conduct placement testing (if any)
• Working hours: Classes run from 5:00pm to 9:30pm Monday through Friday; 7:45 am to 8:15pm on Saturday and Sunday. Split shifts are sometimes inevitable, though they are avoided where possible.
• Class size: 10-14 students (Teaching Assistants are available)

Job requirements

To be successful at this job, you need to have:

• CELTA / Trinity TESOL / IHC / Online Teaching Certificates (from 120 hours and above)
• Bachelors Degree, or higher (with courses length minimum of 3 years)
• Full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C1/IELTS band 7 and above (applicable to non-native speaker)
• Clean criminal record check (with validity within 6 months)

• Adaptability, flexibility, and cultural sensitivity
• Great love for children and strong passion for education
• While not required, having experiences with age group from 4 to 11 years old will be prioritized.
