EIU Language Center, which is affiliated to EIU university, was opened in 2012 with a mission statement to “Proudly Serve the Community”. In order to fulfill that goal, we currently offer teens and adult classes at our language center, located in Thu Dau Mot City (just 15 miles from Ho Chi Minh City). We also work closely with local companies and on government projects to provide offsite lessons to learners with a variety of study purposes. Our teachers can develop their teaching skills by working with a wide range of learners and through the range of continuous professional development opportunities available. Our teachers have the benefit of working in a stable and secure environment in a team that is small enough to value every individual’s unique contribution to the school.

Job Summary

EIU Language Center, a subsidiary of Becamex IDC, is looking for professional, committed and qualified EFL teachers to teach the range of courses we offer at our center and at off-site projects. Our center offers General English, Business English, IELTS Preparation and ESP courses for adults, as well as secondary and high school aged students. We are currently recruiting for teachers who are looking for a new position in 2023.

Details of Position

EIU Language Center is in Becamex Tower in a prime location in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province (approximately 50 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City) in the south of Vietnam. The center was established in July 2012 for the local community. Our language center provides courses for members of the general public as well as corporate and government projects in the surrounding towns/cities/provinces. We teach all levels from beginner to advanced and have a wide range of excellent resources to aid teaching. We also offer in-house continued professional development.

Job requirements

In order to provide teachers with full, legal work permits and visas, the following documents are required. All these documents need to be legalized by a Vietnamese consulate.
* Undergraduate degree.

* CELTA or equivalent certification (with minimum 6 hours of observed lessons).

* Clean police check from home country.

* Document affirming a minimum of 3-years teaching experience.

We would prefer candidates to have:
* Experience teaching General English, Business English, English for Specific Purposes and/or Exam Preparation courses to teens and adults.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
* Adaptability and cultural awareness.
* A willingness to perform duties which support the center’s development and ongoing needs.

Applicants should:
* Be available to work for at least 12 months.
* Be able to meet Vietnamese regulations to obtain a work permit by providing: Degree certificate, TEFL certificate, police check from home country, document affirming 3-years teaching experience.
